The Real Dogmoms of Antwerp in Gazet van Antwerpen
In June, Gigi in Antwerp was given a special place in Gazet van Antwerpen with our The Real Dogmoms of Antwerp collection. What started as a playful nod to The Real Housewives of Antwerp grew into a collection that perfectly captures what Gigi in Antwerp stands for: dogs, fashion, Antwerp and a generous dose of personality. Seeing our T-shirt collection featured by Gazet van Antwerpen therefore felt like a very special moment.
From dogmom to statement
The Real Dogmoms of Antwerp was created for women whose dogs are simply part of their lives. For dogmoms who have a camera roll full of dog photos, know exactly which harness matches which outfit and have no shame in admitting that their dog is sometimes better dressed than they are.
With this collection, we wanted to create something playful and relatable, yet stylish enough to actually wear. A T-shirt for dogmoms who love fashion, their dog and a little Antwerp flair.

The fact that Gazet van Antwerpen featured our collection made it even more special. A local idea, inspired by Antwerp and our own community of dog lovers, suddenly found its way into the newspaper of the city where Gigi in Antwerp continued to grow.
The article not only told the story of The Real Dogmoms of Antwerp, but also the story behind Gigi in Antwerp and how our love for dogs eventually grew into our own webshop and brand.
For us, it felt like a little milestone.
It all started with Gilera
Without Gilera, Gigi in Antwerp probably would never have existed.
She introduced us to an entire community of dogmoms and ultimately inspired many of the ideas that are now part of Gigi in Antwerp.
From our carefully selected dog fashion and accessories to Maison Gigi and The Real Dogmoms collection: Gilera remains at the heart of our story.
From one dog with a big personality to a brand that even earned a little place in Gazet van Antwerpen. Sometimes you simply have to stop and appreciate that.
